Tula

Bio: Tula was found wandering the streets alone! We took her in, got her spayed and up to date on shots, and now she’s ready for her forever home! Tula is a small girl, only 18lbs and 1.5 years old. She loves people and enjoys cuddling. She loves playing with stuffed toys and bones. Tula is good with other dogs and children.

Nova

Bio: Nova’s previous owners got her as a puppy. They determined she had gotten “too big” and no longer allowed her inside. She was stuck outside in a kennel and on a chain for over a year. And she’s only 37lbs! Her life was sad. She would watch the chihuahua in the house through the sliding door play and cuddle with the humans she depended on. We convinced her owners to allow us to take her so that we could find her the loving forever home she deserves, one where she’ll never be an outside dog again. Nova is a love bug. She is sweet to all humans (loves kids), all dogs, and even cats. She is quiet and seems so appreciative.

Jolene

Bio: Jolene (aka Jo Jo) was found wandering the streets alone so animal control picked her up and brought her to the shelter where she was scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of space. We couldn’t let that happen to sweet Jo so we agreed to foster her. She is great with other dogs and fine with cats. She is a little shy and super sweet. She’s house trained and very cuddly. She’s up to date on shots, spayed, and perfectly healthy. Jo Jo weighs around 39lbs. 

Chad

Bio: Chad spent his life on a chain and finally ended up in the shelter when his family moved and left him there with no food or water. When we picked him up, he had an injured leg, an ear infection, an eye infection, and a broken spirit. But look at him now! He is sweet and happy. He is good with kids and LOVES other dogs. Chad is between 1 and 2 years old, neutered, up to date on shots, and perfectly healthy.

Kevin

Bio: Kevin is a fantastic boy. Before he came to us he was living his life on a chain with hardly any food. His owner agreed to surrender him to us and we are so glad he did! Kevin is a happy-go-lucky guy and super sweet to everyone he meets. He is up to date on shots, neutered, house trained, crate trained, and ready for his forever home. Kevin is 50lbs.

Juno

Bio: Juno came to us when her former owner fell on hard times. She was desperately trying to keep Juno and her brother out of the shelter and made a plea to us. We didn’t want the shelter ending up with her, so we took her in. Juno is a love bug. She is spunky and funny and loves to cuddle. She attaches to her human quickly and is very loyal. Although she lived with her schnauzer brother with no issue, we think Juno prefers to be an only pet. This cute girl wants all the attention. She’s never met a stranger and loves all humans, including kids. Juno is up to date on shots, spayed, and heart worm negative. She’s around 36lbs and 8 years old.

Roxy

Bio: Roxy was brought to a veterinarian’s office for boarding and her mommy never came back for her. ☹ After 3 weeks the staff at the vet came to terms with the fact that Roxy’s mom was not going to return, and Roxy ended up at an overcrowded shelter. Due to lack of space Roxy was scheduled to be euthanized, so we took her in. She is so sweet and affectionate. She loves to be in your lap. She walks great on a leash. Like most dogs, she is interested in squirrels and bunnies. She loves to stop and smell things. She’s crate trained and will sleep in her crate quietly all night. She loves food and treats so she’d be easy to train. She’s potty trained too. She’s just an all-around easy-go-lucky girl. She’s great with other dogs. She doesn’t understand cats and doesn’t want to live with any. Roxy is around 40lbs.

Willow

Bio: Willow was scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of space at the shelter. We couldn’t let that happen to this sweet girl. She was picked up by animal control when she went looking for help after being dumped. A good Samaritan gave her food and water and allowed her to remain on their porch until animal control came. We can’t understand why someone would abandon her. She is an absolute angel. She’s not had one accident in the house, she’s calm and cuddly and will play if you want her to. She’s not destructive and gets along with all humans, dogs, and cats. Willow is around 40lbs.

Rango

Bio: This is Rango! He came from a puppy mill situation. He is a super sweet, somewhat shy boy. He loves other dogs and kids. He will sleep soundly in his crate all night. Rango is only 20lbs.

Jazz

Bio: This is Jazz! She is an angel! This is a perfect girl. She came to us from Guilford County Animal Shelter where she ended up because she was not good with the kitty in the household. She is house trained (never had an accident) and a very calm girl. She is super sweet and loves to cuddle. She also loves hikes so her perfect fit would love to go on walks. She is such a well behaved girl. We cannot say enough good things about Jazz. The only thing she requests is that her new home does not have any cats as she does not understand how to get along with them.

Bingo

Bio: Bingo is a super sweet girl. She loves other dogs and LOVES kids. She was a stray found on a busy road. She’s scared of shoes and crates so something bad must have happened to her dealing with those things. She’s house trained and will even let you know if she has to go out to potty. She’s an absolute gem. She’s around 1 year old and a perfect size at about 35lbs.

Canoe

Bio: Canoe came to us from the Randolph County Animal Shelter. They were out of room and could no longer house Canoe so we agreed to take her in. She is a fantastic girl. She is house trained and perfectly well behaved. Canoe is heartworm positive, but otherwise a healthy happy girl. The vet said her organs are in tip top shape so they have not been damaged by the heart worms. She is only around 1 year old and super smart. She will begin heartworm treatment on May 21st. Her treatment will cost around $2,000, but she’s worth it!

Delilah

Bio: This is Delilah. She came to us after we were contacted by a friend who became aware of her situation. The people who had her moved to a place that did not allow dogs. She had to live in the back of a truck for a while until the people placed her with family members. Unfortunately, the family members weren’t very kind and did not feed her well. They ended up letting her out of the crate she was being kept in (outside!) and she was hit by a car! She ended up at Forsyth County Animal Shelter. When we realized the shelter had her we immediately said we’d pull her. She is safe and loved and comfortable now, but the car hit caused some of her nerves to become detached. The vet expects that it will have to be amputated. We’re giving it a couple of weeks before making the decision.

Burley

Bio: This little kitten is homeless! Rose’s Wish helps all animals and would love to help this sweet girl find her forever home. She will have all shots. And when she’s old enough we will pay for her spay.

Theo

Bio: This is Theo. He was abandoned by his owner. The owner said he “had too many dogs”. We couldn’t let poor Theo end up in the wrong hands so we brought him in. He’s a cuddle bug. He will follow his person to the ends of the earth. He is great with kids and fine with other dogs and with cats. He’s around 5 or 6 years old. He’s house trained and not destructive.

Jack Jack

Bio: He is great, and adorable. This sweet boy came from Randolph County Animal Shelter after his former home was cited for animal cruelty. Until his case was over, he was not allowed to leave the shelter, so he spent 514 long days there! His spirit remained happy-go-lucky despite the situation and he continues to be the best boy. Jack Jack is house trained and not destructive. He’s great with all other dogs, cats, and kids. He loves everyone. He’s up to date on shots and neutered.

Vi (Now Ellie)

Bio: This is Vi. She is 2 years old and around 55lbs. She was surrendered to the shelter after her owner was no longer able to care for her. Radiographs revealed that she has a collapsed disc space between T8 and T9 and has a fracture off the base of her vertebrae. The vet suspects this is from an old injury to her spine. She has not let the injury affect her energy or heart of gold. Vi had a great report at the vet who said that her old injury doesn’t seem to be causing her any pain or affect her quality of life. At times you can tell by the way she walks but it’s a cute walk nonetheless. 🙂

Update: Vi has been adopted! Her forever home is a sweet couple who gives her tons of attention and couch cuddles. She even sleeps in the bed with them. 🙂
